Great post, Aashish, thanks, most of the tips I’ve already knew (and surely most of the devs don’t use these great shortcuts), but I still could use one or two you’ve mentioned.

The only one that I couldn’t make it work was the Ctrl-W one. I thought it was something like an “incremental” selection as you’ve described it, but I could only find a “Select Word” one. I’ve tried all the keyboard schemes, but still couldn’t find something like you described it. I hope it’s still well hidden there , so I can activate a shortcut for my own scheme.

Hello Ben,

First of all i think you are using wrong command.Here in comment you have written devnev which is wrong in my post i have mentioned devenv if this is a typo mistake by you then probably
I think you are trying this to run it on normal command prompt there it will not work.
If i am right then just Navigate to your Start Menu->All Programs->Microsoft Visual Studio 2008/2005->Visual Studio Tools->Visual Studio 2008 Command Prompt.
And then try to run this command if this solved your problem then please do reply.

I tried this, but got the response of ” ‘devnev’ is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.” I’m confused.
